Bad-ass, old-school kicks! August 19, 2010

Having always been a Chuck Taylor man, I discovered Jack Purcells sometime in my 20s. Much cooler and more detailed than the Taylors, the Jack Purcell is the kick to own for indie-rock/street cred. Do yourself a favor and get an arch support/liner for them, as they are a little lite in the support dept. They feature an extra molded toe in front, and a smooth tread on bottom. I picked up a brown pair (which I've never seen before) for $17! A great hang-out kick. Highly recommended.

I own a variety of converse oxfords, and of all of them, my black leather Purcells are the most comfortable. They came with such a soft cushy insole, and they are like a dream. I can stand all 8 hours at work and my feet still feel great afterwards. They also go great with just about any style you can imagine. I especially like to wear mine with jeans, but then again... I wear jeans just about every day of the week. Nothing says freedom and comfort like my Purcells. I don't get many compliments about them, which is how I like it--flying under the radar. The less conspicuous the better (i.e. they look natural).
Although mine look better than the ones here (mine have white shoe laces and white stitching), any Purcell will be a step in the right direction. Fully customizable.

there was a mark on the tip of my shoe-a brownisah red, i was sent the wrong size( gave me big ones). One thing that was nice..... was the fast, speedy refunding of my money.
Overall I will maybe do business again, just depends if there is a discount or special or something.

These shoes were so popular when and where I was in middle school and high school. I love the feel of the thick sole underneath the lightweight top. This shoe was cool then and now I'm bring them back! Plus I love the story behind Jack Purcell - these are the original "Air Jordans" you might say.
