Product Description The Dunlop Aerogel 500 Tour is part of the next generation of 'tweener racquets that combines proven M-Fil technology with Aerogel to deliver an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased crispness. Expect the same great performance found in the M-Fil series of racquets, now with the improved feel and feedback provided by Aerogel.Geared to the intermediate to advanced player, the Dunlop Aerogel 5 Hundred Tour features specifications that would fall into the category of a 'tweener (in between power and control/in between midsize and oversize). A more-generous sweetspot than the AeroGel 200 and 300, but without sacrificing feel. Ideal for a moderate to fast swing, the AeroGel 500 Tour works well for the player who prefers a 'tweener with a slightly heavier heft. Great spin potential, maneuverability, and a little more pop remain strong features of the AeroGel 500 Tour. Aerogel is the worlds lightest solid and has a strength of up to 4,000 its own weight. The three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased power. Combined with M-Fil (multi-filament) technology across the hitting zone to soften ball impact, Aerogel frames deliver the perfect balance between power and control. | Customer Reviews: worst customer service i ever expierienced June 3, 2010 J. Chang I bought Dunlop aerogel 200 plus last year October at sports authority.
The racquet it self is pretty good with very good control and pretty decenty power.
But couple month ago the frame just snapped right above the neck joint section.
Since the all racquet has one year warranty, i called the dunlop sports US Custormer support
try to report the defect. The lady(i guess her name is Patcy???) at first told me,
i should returned the racquet to Sports Authority and they'll work through the return Autorization with them. Couple days later i brought my racquet to SA and they told me they don't deal with the warranty once the racquet seal is opened. But after i explained the reason, the lady (Diana) promise
to send the racquet back to Dunlop if she can get RA(Return Authorization #) from dunlop.
Later, i call Dunlop Patcy again and left the message asking her call me back or call SA directly.
but this never happened for 2 weeks. Then i call Patcy(dunlop) again, this time she said they are
in the middle of inventory check. so they can't give out the the RA. She told me to call back next week. A week later, i call her again and she is not answering and i left my number ask her call me back. She never did. last week, i called her again and she is not answering and her coworker just told me they don't deal with individual, period. As a little individual customer, i'm totaly frustrated.
I have played tennis for more than 30 years, i have deal with Prince and Head one time each 10 years ago, never have any problem.
Dunlop used to be one of the popular raquets in 80s, but start to downgrading late 90s, i guess its customer service may have the huge impact on this. Although i still like their racquets but for sure
from now on my family won't buy any dunlop racquets anymore. i'll tell all my friends don't buy any dunlop racquets.
Need more power!! December 11, 2009 BG (D.R.) It`s a beatiful racquet but don`t have power! You hit hard and the ball don`t across the net. i think this one no it`s a good choice for advaced players.
AMAZING April 11, 2009 Zeke Hakagatsu 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Despite popular opinion, this is much better than the well-done Babolt racket now preferred by Nadal. I am an intermediate/good player and after playing with both, this is amazing. I got the demo to test it and it's unbelievable. When it came out I immediately bought it. The tenison is perfect for my serve-and-volley style (note; I'm a lefty) and it's perfect for angle. Beautiful racket.
